Spaghetti Sauce

  1. 1 large can of Simple Truth Organic NO SALT tomatoes
  2. 1 medium can of tomato sauce no salt
  3. 1 small can of tomato paste – 20 mg of salt
  4. 1lb. of simple truth ground beef cooked – 65 mg of salt for 3 oz. – approximately 350 mg of salt
  5. Add water – this will determine how think you want your sauce, I don’t like too thick or too thin

Spice – add to taste

  1. Italian Season – 2 tablespoons
  2. Basil – 2 tsp
  3. Garlic powder – 1 tsp
  4. Onion powder – 1 tsp
  5. Additions Optional
  6. 2 tablespoons of canned parmesan cheese – 152 mgs
  7. Mushrooms – 1 cup 4 mgs
  8. Green pepper – 1 oz. 1 mg
  9. Onion – ½ cup 2 mg
  10. Mrs Dash – 1 tbsp  tomato basil, red pepper, spicy

Bring sauce to boil with spices, add hamburger and turn down to low, let the pot simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.  I divide this into three portions, I freeze 2 of these for a later date.  That would be six servings for each batch I make, this comes to 88 mgs per serving.
